Master the Art of Writing Interiority & Emotionality

The number one reason readers and agents don’t fully connect with your novel isn’t what you think.

It’s not your premise. It’s not your plot. It’s not even your scene structure. And it’s definitely not about choosing more beautiful words.

What it really comes down to is something most writers aren’t intentionally trained to use: interiority and emotionality.

Interiority is what allows readers to step inside your protagonist’s mind—to experience their thoughts, reactions, memories, and meaning-making in real time. It’s the bridge that transforms a story from something we observe into something that moves us.

And emotionality? It’s not about telling us what the character is feeling. It’s about using interiority, language, and context to create an emotional experience in the reader.

In this immersive 3-day experience, you will learn exactly how to use interiority to pull readers into your protagonist’s mind and create emotional impact that lingers long after the scene ends.

In this class, we go deep into what interiority actually is (and isn’t), breaking it down into clear, usable layers so you can see exactly how it functions on the page. You’ll explore concrete examples, then move beyond theory into application—because understanding isn’t enough. You need to use it.

You’ll practice adding interiority to scenes, experiment with techniques that deepen reader connection, and begin to understand how emotionality emerges naturally when interiority is working well.

This is a highly interactive, hands-on experience. Yes, there’s powerful craft discussion, but there’s just as much real-time practice, exploration, and space to ask questions. You’ll be working alongside other writers, actively applying what you’re learning so it sticks.

By the end, you won’t just understand interiority and emotionality as abstract concepts—you’ll know how to bring them onto the page in a way that makes readers feel something real.
